Hands up who loves cake? Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a sweet treat! Over lockdown many of us became avid bakers, with many of our friends and family baking banana bread (There was a lot of banana bread!). So, with the Great British Bake Off on our television screens, we were so excited to bake up a storm in the kitchen.

With over 8 million viewers watching the first episode of Bake Off, we wanted to get involved by sharing weekly recipes with our Connswater community and also some fabulous Bake Off competitions on our Facebook page!
Karen Donnell won our Bake Off competition with her amazing Cookie Monster cake, how amazing does it look! Karen won a £50 Connswater voucher to spend on baking ingredients, utensils or whatever she wants at Connswater.
