Don’t go past Connswater?

For me it’s all about Brandmax! If you follow my blog then you will know this is my favourite store in Connswater and the only one in the north!

Here you will pick up lots of designer brands at a fraction of the RRP! You will definitely be able to pick up gifts for all the family in Brandmax as they sell everything including toys, clothing and homeware.

Aside from Brandmax, there are lots of other stores to help with all your shopping essentials. New look have some great bits in store at the minute to see you through the cold months. I recently picked up a few bits and pieces for work (cosy and affordable #savings!)

Who are you?

Hi guys! My name is Emma, I’m a 30 year old bride to be from Co.Down and I have a beauty, fashion and lifestyle blog over at www.instagram.com/scientist_in_the_city (www.scientistinthecity.com)

What do you do?

As the name would suggest I am a scientist, by day…and quite often by night! I work full time as a NHS biomedical scientist in a local hospital so my blog is very much a hobby which I use as an outlet from all the stresses of my bustling day job!

I started my blog at the end of 2015 and I have loved watching it grow over the last few years. I have had some fab opportunities, met lots of new people and even been nominated for a few blogging awards along the way which is surreal!

The hidden secrets of Connswater?

Connswater is my little escape after a busy day at work! I love popping in for a hot chocolate in Tim Horton’s on my commute to or from work (their drive thru is open 24hrs! So handy for shift workers like me)

I have to admit I’m a self-confessed shopaholic and love a dander around the retail park AND the shopping centre, seeking out all the bargains!
Connswater has ample free parking which is a big plus for me as well as a great selection of stores.

I love Savers and The Perfume Shop for fragrances and you can’t go wrong with a gift set. They have some really great deals this time of year with Valentine’s Day around the corner so definitely pop in for a look.

For all things homeware then you can’t go passed the range. The B&M in the retail park at Connswater is another favourite, it’s HUGE! It has two floors! Half of my house has come from a combination of these two stores at Connswater if I’m honest!

I always am able to get what I am after at Connswater and of course always make time to get refuelled with coffee and treats for the rest of the day.
